One Lone Star

One lone star in the sky tonight
sparkling gently up above
a little silver glittered star
casting down the spell of love.

The night air so crisp and fresh
the nature's sounds are all around
one lone star in the sky tonight
shines peace to me on the ground.

The bats are fighting in the trees
the crickets chirp their little song
nature will soon silence to sleep
but the one lone star shines all night long.

The wolves may howl at midnight
but the one lone star makes no sound
just glistens in the sky til dawn
then stays hidden til again nite comes around.

There's one lone star in the sky tonight
i wonder if it's an angels eye
an angel sent to watch over me
guide me thru life til it's time to die.

Then i'll rise to the heavens above
and i'll be the one watching over you
just like the one lone star in the sky tonight
i'll be the one to guide you thru.

This is lovely work Kellie...your imagery is marvellous...

The bats are fighting in the trees
the crickets chirp their little song
nature will soon silence to sleep

welcome!
