A graceful glide
Across the ice—
A current rushes underneath
A quiet cut
The silent slice
Icy eyes of winter’s weep.

A solo dance
Of figure eight
Ellipsis--
Balances of fate—
To wear a smile
As ankles ache
The cracking sound
Of ice that breaks—
But I landed on my feet…

“Skating Away (On The Thin Ice Of A New Day)”

by Jethro Tull
(excerpt)

“…’cause you were bred for humanity,
and sold to society.
One day you’ll wake up,
In the present day—
A million generations
Removed from expectations
Of being who you really want to be…

Skating away
Skating away
Skating away on the thin ice of a new day…”

With the cold breath of locomotive within rif's of time
You skate upon the ice of frozen lime.
As Rupert's reply went to one in print
And Jerry Garcia was not but heaven sent

serenity,
there wasn't a moment you were skating on thin ice with this little gem
Be well

My friend, serenity.  This excerpt is a work of art in itself, and the rest just adds to the beauty....

                  "A graceful glide
                   Across the ice...
                   A current rushes underneath
                   A quiet cut
                   The silent slice
                   Icy eyes of winter’s weep."
