Hi everyone! I am back with a poem. I have been sick again, had bad headaches almost straight for a month. But, I am finally able to get another post on here. I have missed being here and reading everyone's poetry.

  Caught Up

I love how the night can bring me a new kind of light
When a seasons storm brings interruption to a darkened night
I like to lie here and watch a new color to the sky
And just take in all the peace that's before these eyes...

There's the loudness in the thunder that seems to say it all
Then there's the stronger release of the water and the way it falls
I'm caught up in the sound of what nature can bring
God, I'm so caught up tonight in this seasons rain...

I can picture the trees dancing to the rhythm of the wind
And how all life is caught up now in the seasons again
What I would give to be under those rolling clouds so high
Beneath Gods awesome message going on outside...

I'm not afraid to feel the heavy weight of the rain
For I welcome God and each time the seasons change
I live for what I cannot be bigger than
I like being small to the power of nature just living...

I know the wind is strong and moving all those leaves
I'm caught up in imagining them just falling on me
The colors, though not bright, cause the sun left us the night
But I'd give it all to feel nature out in those flashing lights...

I'm so caught up tonight in a storm most hate to see
But there's strength in a storm and the impression it leaves
God, I am not ignoring you and my familiar prayer
I'm just caught up in your presence you've given out there...

Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak
I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps

Saunni~
    I regret to say this is the first of your works that I have read.  The imagery is breathtaking I know exactly what you mean.  Good luck in your next writing, I look forward to reading it.  Hope you stay in good health.

Welcome back and you know I missed seeing you around.  What a wonderful verse to come back with and the message it brings is so powerful and straight from your heart.

Hi Saun!
         It is sooooooo good to see you back again, and like Mark said...this is a great poem to come on home with!! I love a good storm, and the power that goes with it. It cleanses the earth, and washes the debris from our lives......sometimes emotionally, too!
~~~ WELCOME HOME!  ~~~
Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!
