Practice at internal rhyming

Coming of Winter

Butterfly wings quivering atop the fragrant bloom
Locust now delivering an operatic tune
Streaks of mist are slithering across an autumn moon
And I’m already shivering at thoughts of winter’s doom

But let the autumn fill my eyes with gold and crimson hues
And let the morning chill arise me to the misty dews
Which icy frosting will disguise as winter white imbues
After sunlight fills the skies with last of autumn blues

Why such a sad and weary face with splendors to behold
It is not such a dreary place if in your heart you hold
A vision that is clearly laced with colors bright and bold
And solace of your fear embraced in shelter from the cold

Elizabeth Santos-

That you can write - such beautiful words- find beauty and 'operatic tunes' in the face of all the troubles that surround you is one astounding thing - but to do it with such rhymes and flow and imagination - is doubly amazing.  Once more my hat is off (even tho I don't wear one) to you. Sy, Thank you for always being there. I'm glad you liked this poem

Bill,You overwhelm me with your words.
This poem was a little practice in internal rhyming, which if done correctly can greatly enhance a poem. This one needs some work. But thank you for your generous remarks.
As for personal troubles, what would I do without poetry and Passions.
