in the candlelight
my vision dims--
a shadow by the window
youve become.
turning to see me
you hold out your hand,
yet i am blinded to all--
but your eyes.
your eyes have whispered softly,
in the night.
     you take my hand.
gently you touch your lips to mine--
     i become lost
for a million moments.
the candle dies...
pure blindness overcomes me--
yet i believe in you;
your breath
     is life
          caressing my skin.
your presence
     a warmth engulfing me.
shadows brush against
          my body,
and slowly i close my eyes.
tasting the fire,
     it becomes mine,
seeping into my soul.
it dwells in me--
and i give back to you
     what is yours.
the fire spoke to me
through your eyes,
pulling me out of darkness;
igniting my sight.
     only the candlelight
                    dies...

Dee how absolutly beautifull, always your work is astounding, this is pure and breathtaking. You knew I'd love this I know, and do I. If there was an olympic games for poetry, you'd be scooping them up by the arm load, and you'd deserve every single one.
Take care,

dg, sneaking another one by me....
This is a very interesting flame you've got burning here.
Your poetry has a lot of depths to it, a very nice read.
