Silver Shine You Were Mine Silver shine you were mine when meeting at the breaker meant too many things. When tangled tassles blew from you and smiles took a ride on salted air wings. You were mine then and again in the snowy pastures flat and full of nature's pull and simple sang through mouths untied, I tried and you flew with feathers built of fear. I never cared, for tasteless times and meaningless hours, for happy showers of false. I never ate the seeds on hours latest trial or swallowed fights with fists of salt or sin. You were mine on yesterday's blanket on rewindings of tomorrow's day of things my way of hammered prints in satin tins in tastings of the day. Silver shine, you were mine then. Hi SF..... I loved it from beginning to end, but this phrase is still singing in my head: "you were mine on yesterday's blanket" What a great line, one to think on....... This was a great read!! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |

You have forged yourself an armour of shining words in this piece. Loved it all but expecially the following words. |

SpitFire, So good to see you my friend. This was a wonderful piece. So beautiful and your dear sweet heart shines through so bright. Loved this one!! Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

A great read! It made me think of some times long past. "The heart and soul have no illusion of boundries when friendship is the quest" ~ My Angel. |

SpitFire~ This is so pretty and wistful ... 'You were mine on yesterday's blanket on rewindings of tomorrow's day of things my way of hammered prints in satin tins in tastings of the day. Silver shine, you were mine then.' What lovely visuals you've captured and shared. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
