When Long John was a tacker,
many years ago
He earned his first employment cheque,
working oh so slow

He worked within the mail room,
sending parcels and letters out
sometimes he would go out for lunch
for three hours or thereabout

His inefficiency it was known
until one came a change
a new boss with new age ideas
wanted work to re-arrange

For the sake of efficiency
he started up a trend
for workers all around the place
to each other they would bend

The product stopped no work went out
no orders were received
the boss was nearly rapeable
in his system he believed

So he went into the mail room
saw parcels glued together
and asked the workers waiting there
who did this deed, don't blather.

They all pointed out our Long John
who was just then absconding
what's the meaning of this farce.
John replied "Well you wanted mail bonding"

Kethry...
What a great story, complete with perfect ending!! I'm surprised someone didn't shoot him, if he worked in a Post Office here in the states!!! Ha!!!

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

... Very cute Kethry - No doubt it was before email and he was going broke buying stamps to send love letters to Lorelei - so he got a job with the postal service out of self preservation...

Sunshine, hiding beneath my bed, not reading any posts for a  week that should give LJ short term memory time to forget, oh he already did!

Whtdove. Thanks for the double LOL.

Sunny1 I hope no-one ever shoots him cause then I'd have to find a new target for my arrows.:P

Nan I think it was before snail mail, when the rich had their own stamps. TOERAG's back! Toerag's Back! Did I mention Toerag's back. Now someone's gonna get a licking.*This is me doing my little happy dance.*

Kethry.

This little gem shines pretty bright.  LngJhn's going to see it, you're going to have a fight.  He's going to come out with canons blazing from his ship.  You'd better get an ally; Balladeer shoots pretty good from the hip.  He has a six pen that doesn't miss, on your side I hope he enlists.

I'm ROFL.  Mail Bonding. The company that makes Super glue stock prices just went up.

ggrn,
Toerag's gonna be my ally cause he's a defender of womanhood, a true gentleman and a really nice guy.
(Or so I've been told)

Kethry....sigh... what am I gonna do with you?  You malign me so viciously *tears rolling down my cheeks*.  The only bonding I've ever done in the post office was with the Special Delivery packages, because they were more expensive.  I called it... feemail bonding - woo hoo.  LOL - Great job writing.  I guess I owe you one for this, but I wanna be sure its really really ugly - lol.

smooches for you thinking of me

but, uh, you are 0 for 3 in the Toerag department. Defender of women? He's not even de fender of a '47 Studebaker! True gentleman? He hid Helen Keller's cane! Really nice guy? He's never finished last in his life! If that's gonna be your ally, you're REALLY gonna be down under!!!

LJ
Don't cry those tears of regret LJA
I'm coming to take your croc tears away
I am a hunter, Dundee's me name
when I'm hunting 'gators I got me no shame
so cry all you want want, you've got all to lose
cause Kethry is hunting crocodile shoes.

Deer if we're stamping out Long John, does that mean we have to first lick it on the backside?   Just wondering. Toerag will defend me. I brought him back I have control over him, sort of.
Heeeellp

Did you know it's be kind to Kethry week beginning tomorrow.
