Don't Weep, Celebrate

Don't weep for me
As you pass on by
Don't you pity me
Or start to cry
I know you're thinking
I once was you
My pain you've shared
I know it's true

Still don't cry those tears
Because of what you see
I'm stronger now
I'll soon be free
The wind will blow
And soon I'll soar
Above hills of pain
To suffer no more

The sun will again
Shine just for me
Freedom give me life
You wait and see
With no more chains
To hold me bound
The laughter you'll hear
Is my brand new sound

I'll celebrate this life
Rejoice in song
It's ceaseless pattern
The right, not wrong
To live, to love
My wishes three
Have hope, speak truth
And live as me

                Marsha

My thanks to all of my friends here who one and all have given me a gift of beauty. Who are always generous of praise, inspiring and ever helpful. I can never express the depth of my gratitude to you all.

What more can we wish for than those three and I hope that they come true Marsha. As poets we can help but feel another's pain from their words, but in voicing that pain comes hope, when pain is bottled up not let out it just makes things worse, so in many ways Passions is like a Cleansing site a celebration of hope and the light after our darkest hours. I am so glad that you have found joy in life... run wild and smile...

wonderful poem.

Brian my thanks, and you're quite right, to bottle up pain and hurt, causes it to increase and finally burst. Possibly wrecking more than healing, to cleanse yourself through expression is the only way forward. I'm on the right path and I'll be soaring to new wonderful heights.
         Take care

You may not be able to tell it from my poetry of now but when I came to Passions it was because of major pain and my poems showed it.  I needed to release it so I started writing and then found a place to share it and just happened to be the "COOLEST" bunch-a-poets in the world.  We will celebrate all with you always, the good the bad and the ones that are just fun as well.  Great penning from you.

Marsha,
beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what I see is beautiful indeed.

Mark I thank you most especially because your work is so very beautifull. As you can see, my poems have been my expression, and have made me see things anew. I sometimes think that when there is a problem with our lives we can't find the way through because we're too close. The poets here have given me so much and I love you all.

Marsha....
When you weep, weep on our shoulders
When you laugh......we will laugh, too
And when life seems full of boulders
Just reach out, we'll carry you through!!

Just wanted to tell you how glad we are to know you, and how you've made my day brighter so many times!!

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

Sunny1 your work is an inspiration, your words full of beauty. I thank you for so many things but mainly because your soul shines. It calls to all those who lose their way, and you shed your light on us all. Never dim your light Sunny, and thanks for your kind words.

Marsha,
I've felt the way you feel, and have also been inspired by my friends at passions. The poetry and the poets have carried me through many dark days, which they are right now. Some day I will soar with you!
Hugs
