Stringbean's Revenge

Stringbean had her dreams and fears
She was accepted among her peers
From the wrong side of the tracks
Remaining rear and to the back

Because her home was sub-standard
Her good name was often slandered
With much heart she kept on wading
Till out of school her old life trading

She met a guy from far away
In her life he planned to stay
Upon a pedestal he placed Stringbean
made her feel just like a queen

Class renunion came through mail
All the men to wear white tails
Carol Little designed a gown
that would be the talk of town

The entrance made through the door
At this point she evened score
All the guys were at her feet
All the ladies felt the heat

Stringbean turned to say farewell
Looking regal she cast a spell
Then she wished all there well
Her silent thought  "&  go to hell"

Marcy, this is surprising different! But oh so true to life. As that would have been just like something I'd do. Wish them well, while saying in my mind, go to hell!

Well put story Marcy!!

You know, it's too bad, people judge by that, and don't take time to get the know person.  Good lesson within here too!
