On the wings of Pegasus
Into the night I soar
From this land of sorrow
To the land of evermore.
Where dreams are lost reality
And reality, but a dream.
To imagine and then
Experience
What lies behind a screen
Of lover's lies.

Meet me in a canyon,
Barren, save a lone plateau.
That reaches to the night sky
That’s where we two
Shall go.
And come together slowly,
Don’t ask for reasons why,
And slowly we shall dance
In love
'Neath the desert sky.

Meet me near the shoreline,
Where angry waves wipe clean
The golden beaches
Where i desire
To lay with you in my dream.
Where gulls cry out in apathy
For they surely do not care,
About these lonely lovers,
Caught up in red hair,
And silver moonlight.

Meet me in the future,
For today is full of things,
That draw me back
And hold me tight
In ties that bite and sting
Against my skin
Numbing
And I can’t think of anything
But soaring with you
In the evermore,
Riding on Pegasus' wings.

Seraphin...
Welcome to Passions!

"But soaring with you
In the evermore,
Riding on Pegasus' wings."

This piece soars through my mind with a beautiful picture.
You've made yourself a great entrance here at passions. I do so love this piece.

To all,
My most sincere thanks. I've been a silent presence here for some time. As a rule, I keep to the shadows. I hope to venture into the light a bit more frequently. I already know some of you, by your words. And wonderful words they surely are. Again, my thanks.  @}~~~>~~~~  Sandi

Wilfred, you already know that I am one of your fans. So your comments are twice as sweet. Thank you.
Lone Wolf, I've been here but a brief time. I've read for hours, and been impressed over, and over, and over. There are some talents here that dwarf my finest efforts. I could be intimidated, or I could learn. I chose the latter. Thank you for reading my work. This is one of my personal favorites, as I have long wished to soar on Pegasus' wings.
Sandi

Oh Sunny1, thank you! I love it! And thank you, too, Walt. When I first showed this piece to a friend, they told me I spent too much time with my head in the clouds. How do you explain, 'tis not my head, merely my heart.

an outstanding entrance, seraphin!
what a beautiful and ... what's the word... almost magical verse! it remined me very much of "the never-ending story". the second stanza i loved, as well as the one about the beach.
very well penned. i am very glad you have decided to come share the limelight!

oh and, you can never spend to much time with your head in the clouds! *WELCOME*
