When the chorus
Is all I remember,
There are a thousand verses
Before it plays.
When the rain
Is all I've ever known,
Not a cloud lingers.

I can't tell you
How life has changed
Since I've seen it last.

Don't call out to me;
I'm inundated by sound
When all I need
To get through
Is silence.

The reason may be
Plain to see,
But these glasses
Are fogged.

Inspiration has certainly
Changed its tactics.
Has it been that long?
Have that many mid-afternoons passed?

Since when does the moon
Possess such intimidation?
And where are those stars
To the northeast?
Well, I used to put
A lot of trust in them.

When the chorus
Is all I remember,
Someone's just written another verse.

SnowPants~

'When the chorus

Someone's just written another verse.'

I'm not sure why right now ... but this line just speaks to me.
I'll have to remember that.

The above lines are ones that shout the agony of confusion within you and the pleading for time to make sense of it all.  Your best yet as far as I am concerned and that was not an easy thing to do as I have read many of yours and they all are great but this one goes beyond that.  Superb penning from you.

Sunshine:  thank you for reading!!

Mark:  thank you for your kind, kind words!  It does always seem that there is never enough time to figure out what is going on, doesn't it?  I'm glad you enjoyed!!
