The Many Gifts Of You ... for Mark ...my 5000th post |

Mark ... thank you for believing in me ... and for your never ending patience ... I know I test it daily *smile* (hard to hold baby)  I think it is poetic justice that my 5000th post be dedicated to you ... my sweet "warden" of "rehab" ... and I promise to give you a return on your investement of time and friendship ... ( not to mention phone cards)  OUCH LOLhas any body ever told how way cool you are cowboy. *winkie winkie* love you MC. me ************* ~The Many Gifts of You~ Where once there was only thorns and stones ... you sowed me a garden of fragrant roses. Where once there were walls built high and strong ... your offered me passage thru patience doors that never closes. You took a dark river of endless tears ... and turned them in to an azure crystalline ocean. You took anger, self doubt, and fear ... and turned them into promises and devotion. Where once was only loss and lies ... your offered trust ... faith ... and strength to borrow. When the days were long and nights so lonely ... you sent quiet comfort to carry me on to tomorrow. When the journey became all uphill ... you gave my path a new direction. When I became too scared to go on ... you embraced me in arms of protection. In the times that I was too weak to walk ... you gave me the will to try to stand. When I was too afraid to reach out ... You offered me the gift and grace of friendships hand. And when I was lost in the dark ... when I couldn't find or believe in me -- You lit my path back home ... and helped me make these discoveries. When all I could hear ... was the sound of my own desperation. You sang a song of promise ... and gave me back my anticipation. How does one return these gifts ... How do I show you the way you healed my weary heart ... If only by the gift of this poem ... then promise to do the same for you ... as this friendship shall never part. Janet Marie *kiss kiss* and thank you also to me twin, and SS and all my special poetic gator gang for the sweet teases in my day ... you know who you are ... and how precious you are to me ... thank you for the daily support and encouragement...checking on me in E-mails. Thank you also to the many poets and friends here at Passions ... for understanding why I'm not replying to all your work as before. I am here reading your gifted words when possible... but until I get my life back in order I need to continue taking a break. In the next weeks I may not be here much at all as I am going to be working on some projects that I have for too long neglected. This weekend is a chance for me to play in the forums and hopefully get my fixx of this place I love so... maybe then I can "behave" ...(hush Mark) LOL later me treasured poetic gators love ya all JM There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~jm~ |

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee First...whew that was hard work  Ohhhhhhh My sweet SS...goodness knows it's hard not seeing your smiling face in here...but thank the stars for e-mails and phone cards...lol I'd fall apart without contact...ditto on the warden stuff  You know that this poem is one of your most beautiful right??? And you know why right...??? OK then...let me explain it to you...This my dear sis shows your heart and your soul...I know the last thing that "we" want to do in life is to allow someone to lift us up when we have fallen...this shows your strength and the wings of a butterfly shining more beautiful than ever...as they get stronger everyday...we need ya strong sweets...why??? Janet Marie-You know how I love ya girl and because of you I have been able to come back from some very dark places in my life and YOU brought me through all of that and it is because of you that I and a certain "butterfly" can now share something that we both knew would be our destiny some day. We are "US" because of YOU and that is the truth so in all of this I would like to leave you with something special from the past since you mentioned garden and to let all the ones who are new just see who helped who first. It is I who owe you my endearing friendship for eternity and I who owe you all the thanks. Garden of My Heart No longer is there a thorn ... in the garden of my heart No longer is there drought... forming a layer of crust No longer are there weeds... smothering my love's desire For within your friendship... boy-o-boy. i leave for a couple of months, and suddenly you've made 5000 posts! and what's this about leaving?!? stop the train, hold the phone, call the governor, wait just one cotton-pickin-minute... STOP THE PRESSES! okay. there are no presses, but i always wanted to yell that out really loud. so, okay, i'm sorry about the leave abscence, but you are going nowhere little missy. i'll email you bout more of this... anywho, back to the issue at hand. m'lady, this is an exquiste piece of poetry. this is not only a fantastic tribute and dedication, but a glimmer of the light at the end of the tunnel that we all persevere to. i'm soo glad that you have reached it. the thing that makes my smile bigger is that you have the talent to paint the verbal portrait that's on my screen right now. now i know why i felt so displaced for two months. because i couldn't read things like this. you have, as ALWAYS, outdone yourself. i'm green with envy, orange with warmth, tickled pink with satisfaction, and gold with the gleaming pride that i know one helluva poet. i'm glad to be back, and i'm glad your still here JM. much love, m'lady! and congrats. Janet, This beautiful display of frienship, trust and love is truly wonderful. You have such a caring heart that a person just wants to "spill their guts" ......so to speak.......you make such an effort to be there for everyone......I see now how much you need to spend time on you........and I am grateful that you have a friend like Mark and Bdc........for that is what friendship is, being there equally for the other and just loving.........One sometimes get so caught up in things you forget that others need the same thing you do  ......So, take this as a very heart felt thank you from me for being a light when I needed one........and although my light is new..if you look for it...it will be there for you always......Your friends are good examples and you....well you are just ALL GOOD GIRL!Take Care..... Oh my dear sweet Janet Marie, this whole thread is just makin' me cry and smile all at the same time!  You know I adore this poem. It speaks of such an incredible friendship you've nurtured and grown from, and clearly it's reciprocated fully with Mark's beautiful reply. How fortunate you all are, to have such deep and wonderful bonds. Your words speak them so clearly ... it's so wonderful to see you here again, if only briefly. me sweet SS ... what would we do without this place to get us thru the weekends thank you for your role in mending my wings as well ...ya know.. i was thinking the other day ...how much my life has changed in the last year..since my first 'butterfly kiss" so, many months ago ...and because of him..what the butterfly symbol has come to stand for...we are all butterflies in different stages of our metamorphisis ... We all grow wings and fly in each others light.. one day at a time ... we will get there. Bill ..thank you kind poet sir ...I wont ever leave here all the way... this place is my hearts home and the people here .. my family ... I will be back .. assuming I ever "really" leave ...LOL Dovey ... thank you my sweet poetess friend ... yes many wonderful friendships and bonds have been formed here ..thank you the many words of encouragement you have given me in my time here. Rose, thank you kind poet ...I will be back..as soon as I can leave .. Janet Marie this was a very heartwarming poem and I know Mark is smiling from ear to ear, I'm glad you can see your rainbow now, and remember to hold it high and look for all life's love that the heavens have to offer. Sometimes we get so caught up in the sad and gloomy things we forget about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and I'm so glad you've found it in your treasure that are your friends.
