He used to think
poetry was for
boring,
stuffy,
arty-farty,
pretentious
types

Until he met this
angelic bubbly
whom made him
feel so fulfilled

His pen firmly grasped,
he couldn't write fast enough
to dedicate his affection
for her

The fabric of romance weaved,
he finally caught hold
of fleeting happiness,
contented with
his new-found loves
in his life

Kaile, poetry does seem to have that image at times, good to see someone being converted, and what better way than through romance. a wonderful poem. Poets unite...sorry getting carried away.

"an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree
the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women".

The things romance will make us do! Nothing like getting caught up in verse because of it!  Well done!

thank you all for reading and replying... this poem was actually based on a true experience of mine...last year, a friend of mine fell in love and was soon penning down poems as a dedication to her boyfriend....i remembered feeling amused then...little did i know that one year later, i would attempt to pick up my poetic pen and imitate her too

OOh.... This is just proof that love   can indeed change one's perspective of life, and everything that it encompasses. Great job done here, Kaile!
