In the beginning there was one poet
whose soul was strong and true
he threw his loving arms open wide
and then the one was two.

Word spread quickly of this place
a home for poets to rest
and in coming together in passion
we’ve surely become the best

As we increase in quantity
may our quality stay the same
without ego, without pretense
without glory, without fame

A tribute fair to Ron it seems
is just a beginning chorus
how can we thank him enough
for all that he’s done for us

Ron, we cannot make you guru
or proclaim you a deity
so we will just honor you
in this home with our poetry.

To the both of you, for making this such a wonderful place.  It also has become a place of warmth and security for me.  A home, and the poets here, my family.  I've written many a poem to my family here, and at every turn I recieve nothing but kindness.  Thank you both for this place....

Yes it is hard to believe that there is someone sweating away making this site work, we only seem to notice Ron when there is a glitch or a forum is down. PDV a beautiful and very deserving tribute to Ron. The guy makes it look too easy at times though LOL.

PoetdeVine~
A really thoughtful poem to send hugs to Ron
for his talented dedication to this home of poets.

There isn't a time that I open the door to
Passions that I don't thank him in my heart
for all he does.

Nicely done, lady.

What a beautiful tribute Sharon! I am constantly amazed at how much hard work goes on behind these walls to keep it running so smoothly, both here and at the main site.

Ron, I hope you truly know how much you are appreciated ... most sincerely and genuinely ... thank you!

And Sharon, thank "you" for giving us this beautifully written opportunity to say thanks.

With much appreciation to you both,
/Kit

Sharon this is indeed a wonderful tribute - You've done a great job of summing up Ron's wonderful qualities.

Your words, "without ego, without pretense/without glory, without fame" are the true essence of who Ron is as a man. This site is a true Passion for him, and making people happy in turn makes him happy.  He doesn't do it for glory or fame... I'm personally very proud to call Ron my ever-dearest friend.

Many of our members have asked me from time to time whether Ron ever writes anything, as they seldom see him post. Ron, I hope you don't mind my being so presumptuous - Perhaps our members would like to read some of your work, so I'd like to take this wonderful opportunity to direct them to Ron's Poetry Page on the main site of Passions in Poetry.  If you haven't, folks - Go and read some of his work.  Aside from all of his many other attributes, he's also an awesome poet.

deVine,

What an awesome tribute to Ron you have shared with us.  Wonderful job!!!

To Ron, thank you so much for having the courage to create such a wonderful haven of poets and poetry for all of us to be a part of.  I am honored to be part of such a wonderful group of writers many of whom are now my friends.  You should be proud!!
