The summer sun is fading
As the fall sun takes it place
Bringing chills upon the air
On the grass, frost leaves its trace

The atmosphere is changing
Soon to leave those vibrant bursts
Of leaves and colored sunsets
Each new fall is like the first

Like canvas of a painter
As he starts each one anew
When brush of palette touches
Creating colors vibrant hue

And with imagination
Will create a perfect scene
Upon the outdoor canvas
Colors of red, yellow, green

Colors will not hold atop
They will gently flutter down
Reflecting sunsets brilliance
Splashing colors all around

I know not what the future holds,
but I know Who holds the future.

I am here in New Orleans, with the AC cranked, reading longingly about seasons that actually happen...sigh...enjoyed.

Yep Sunshine it is, what amazes me is that I have something to add to this new forum

Serenity, I'm glad I can see them, not sure if we'll get too colorful here this year or not.

Mark, I'd love to! I'm just a warm weather person.  Sent you a pic of fall! thanks!

The sounds and colors or Autumn bring out beautiful poetry. Yours is no exception, WhtDove!

Ah! Lovely...I remember fall in the midwest with all the beautiful colors and crisp air. Fall here is 15 minutes long. I think I slept through it last year.

Simply beautiful.   Fall is my second favorite time of the year. We have a few cooler days here in MS, but nothing too permanent yet. Just when ya think its going to stay cool, it gets warm again.  Well, at any rate, here I am anxiously awaiting a permanent Autumn feeling.   Nice work!

My name isn't Baby, and I don't want to cyber.

Fall? What's that? LOL. The only fall I get to experience comes from my klutziness! *G* (Gee, thanks, Dovey... now you have me wishing for one more thing I can't have! *G*) This is great!

Temptress thank you! I know what you mean about the weather. We got cold and warm, but the cold seems to be sticking around. I'll even go for 60* anyday right now!  Summer being my favorite, but fall and it's lovely colors are right up there!

Ruth ROFL! I'm sorry hon, don't mean to make you long for something else. But hey, we always want what we can't have right? LOL
Well, as soon as our leaves turn colors, I'll ship some out to you ok?     Love ya, you hang in there!!

Bonnie thank you! Ours are a bit slow. Some of them are turning now, and we've had quite a bit of rain the past few days, so just maybe, we'll color after all!   < !signature-->

Rebecca-
   This is beautiful...you've painted a
   wonderfully colorful picture of Fall
here.  No true Fall here in Phoenix,
so this poem was a nice change of pace.
