Endearing Sweet Eyes

Lost were your eyes, those endearing sweet eyes
Lost from your blue eyes, were soft passion tears
Lost from the passion, your precious true love
Lost were my promises, of youthful years

She took your blue eyes of passionate tears
She took your warm precious heart from  mine
No more would I sip from your passion cup
Filled with the pleasure of chalice wine

Gone are the lips to cherish my name
Down from the pedestal , out of embrace
Out of your heart was the love I gave
Lost was the loveliness, lost was the grace

Lost was your pedestal, lost, your embrace
Gone was the sweet passion love we had known
You look at  me now with endearing eyes
But I’m on a pedestal now of my own

I have a new love with pure honest eyes
Filled with the smiles of endurance and faith
My pedestal now is on equal ground
With a man that my spirit will always embrace

His goblet is filled with the waters of spring
His heart is abundant with God’s greatest prize
My womb is the chalice that some day will bring
A child to look up with endearing sweet eyes

Lovely Elizabeth!  I particularly loved the verse above ... pedestals are such a fragile things once placed upon ... wonderful verse!

Best wishes,

My heart is pounding, my stomach's inside out
I'm feeling kind-a-shaky, my mind is full of doubt
All I ever think about, is fearing fear itself,
Wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the shelf
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Don't know what I'm looking at, the lights are all too bright
My brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor
Sweep 'em up. Throw 'em away, don't want 'em anymore
Clouds race across the sky, day turns into night,
Still there are the questions, no answers in sight
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Starin' out the window, everything is just too bright
Brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor,
Wish I could unscrew my head, and kick it out the door...
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange
