Please forgive me ladies because I've been so late,
In responding to this thread and making all you wait.
I've read each well written verse, and now I understand,
The traits women want most of all when they think of men.

So with this new found knowledge, I can speak for each man here,
For once I was a blind man, and now I see so clear.
So sit back men, I'll speak for you when I say I comprehend,
Everything the girls said here about what it takes to be a man.

A woman wants a man to be there when she needs to cry,
But she wants to cry alone, and not to be asked, "Why?"
A woman wants a man to say, "It's going to be alright,
"I'll fix those problems for you dear.  See? There's no need to cry."

She wants a man to listen while she villifies and vents,
And then respond to her silly anger with flowery compliments.
She wants a man to be the silent type, and talk to her all night,
And tell her whenever she's really wrong, that she's really right.

A woman wants a man who'll dance beneathe the moon and stars,
But only to his favorite songs about 18-wheelers and cars.
She wants a man who laughs out loud and plays the loutish fool,
A man who won't hold her hand when he thinks it isn't cool.

A woman wants a real brave man who can, with fearless smile,
Walk with his head held high down the Feminine Products aisle.
A man who knows it isn't safe to look in a woman's purse,
During those "special" times when she has the curse.

A woman wants a man who'll let her serve his every need,
Someone to sit by meekly while he surfs on his TV.
For serving men is what women do when they want to be fulfilled.
It isn't much, I realize now, but it makes them thrilled.

So, thank you ladies for teaching me what it takes to be a man,
I thought you'd say romantic things are what you understand.
What's that you say?  I didn't hear a single word you said?
Of course I did, little girls, its all inside you heads.

Now you just go run along and talk of babies and clothing sales,
While we men continue to serve your needs, and fix whatever ails.
We will take good care of you while you wait on us day and night,
After all, you are our women, and it is our right.

What???  There were lots of explanantions??  And now Lorelei is gonna hear about this???  Just a minute, ladies - let's not be rash and do something foolish here.  Think about this a little more.  There's no need to tell Lorelei ... she's a good girl and doesn't need to worry her little head about this silly poem... now does she???  Good girls..  whew... for a minute there I thought these gals were gonna tell Lorelei.  I gotta be more careful about who I stir up around here

LJA, for all of your winning ways in wooing the woman of your heart, you forgot one thing...

a woman wants a man
who remembers simply
the simplicity of a
hug

for when there is nothing
left to give, but welcome arms,
loving kiss,
a hug is simple,
and simply,
bliss.

HUGS, LJA! Now, go share one with your lady!

This woman wants a man
Who will cherish her and only her
Who will lay by her side at night.
This woman wants a man
Who will share his space with her
And gaze into her eyes
And share his soul.
This woman wants a man
Who will open her doors
And wash the dishes
And tell her
"I want your life to be pure heaven"
and he does...
This woman wants a man
Who will make sweet love to her at night
And keep coming back for more.
This woman wants...
The man she lives with and adores!!!

OK!!! gals..he may play here,
Bt I know where he lives!!!

Let me tell you that I heard a rumor.
A woman wants a man with a good sense of humor.
Laughter is what she needs throughout her days.
By your funny words she wants to be amazed.

A woman wants the "new love" feeling to stay.
And passion's spark to never go away.
She wants to be your equal and yet this is true,
She also wants to be protected by you.

A woman wants a man to know
Both ends of the spectrum help her grow.
She needs a life and love that is whole.
And wants you to really know her true soul.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean. Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens. Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance. And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance - I hope you dance.
I *sigh* dear maidens of passions,
by all your wants, desires and fashions...
Thats why, methinks women are difficult...now I am enlightened more...
...and all I wanted was a woman with love and compassion...when will my time come?
LOL, you ladies are all geniuses sitting and gifting away these wonderful words for rustics like me to see...
Regards to all of you, and lots of love...
Sudhir.
P.S. sorry to use up your space, but couldn't help curiousity see the other way...
 My heart is pounding, my stomach's inside out
I'm feeling kind-a-shaky, my mind is full of doubt
All I ever think about, is fearing fear itself,
Wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the shelf
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Don't know what I'm looking at, the lights are all too bright
My brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor
Sweep 'em up. Throw 'em away, don't want 'em anymore
Clouds race across the sky, day turns into night,
Still there are the questions, no answers in sight
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Starin' out the window, everything is just too bright
Brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor,
Wish I could unscrew my head, and kick it out the door...
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange
Gentle Ladies of Passions
Poets and Maides, Passionate Women all
Women of power and of light
Women that can make any Knight's night (!)
Thank you for your words kind and true
They were as delightful as each of you.
The answer, as so earlier pointed out
Is that each woman is as different as she is the same
At times Delicate and gentle, like falling rain
At other times, powerful and forceful, like a hurricane
Someone to care for and have care back
To help us with the things that we lack.
So, Brave Knights, take these words to heart
As you work on perfecting your art
That although women may be different, they are indeed the same
They only wish to be loved, hearing you speak their name. . .
Oh Sven is wise to the ways of women I see
But give us but a moment and you'll see
Today you may be confident our wants you'll find
Tomorrow my dear's we just may change our mind
