I was deciding whether to post this for the Sven's challenge or not. I thought might be unfair if I post 2 for the challenge. So a gentlemanly gesture from this obnoxious, rustic one, I submit this one as a tribute to love...

May the romance sparkle tender dazzlers in each heart, kindling in a way that makes loving souls shine ...

A lover pleading, "Please say Yes"
-----------------------------------------------

Eyes sparkle like stars, I see at night,
So sweet are they, I think I might
fall in love while, I fight what's true,
Night or day all I see, in my eyes, is you.

Early dawn or dusky sunsets fine
lilting shades of vermilion in the sky,
So bright does your face shine,
I wish, with coupled wings, we could fly

Waiting here to hear a 'yes' from you
I ask from you nothing more
Than to return the love that I offer you
Needing love's reassurance, nothing more

~

Tender skin so smooth like the velvet skies,
To touch it before I hear 'yes', I am afraid,
Might ruin the texture, bringing tears in my eyes
This silken skin, I will caress, if the light moves to green from red

Assure you this love shall live
Till the sun and moon combine,
For my love is much too strong and divine,
To you, all I have, my heart, my soul, I will give

If you later may betray me, leaving me alone,
Be sure that still this love will never be gone,
'Cause I will remain of no one else but you
Forever, my heart will always belong to you.

~

From you, all I wish to hear tonight is "I love you"
If I don't hear these words, 'tis true,
I shall be left in the cold, lonely and blue,
To see then the colour in my eyes, you shall have to say, "I love you".

The evening breeze blows, fate's
whispering your pleasant name,
While this heart eagerly anticipates, waits
A desperate soul says 'its high time you came'.

For that I love you, nature is to blame
Not my fault, that you were made this way,
Tender at heart, beautiful in soul, a rousing flame
Sunrise or sunset, the brilliance in any dazzling ray.

~

Though 'love is blind' I've heard them say,
The love that I have for you can be easily seen
that it is so eager, so keen.
What else to you my dear, can I say,
Except that you are the only one for me,
And that your eyes sparkle like the stars I see.

Pleadingly yours,
I remain,
Awaiting your 'Yes'!

My heart is pounding, my stomach's inside out
I'm feeling kind-a-shaky, my mind is full of doubt
All I ever think about, is fearing fear itself,
Wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the shelf
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Don't know what I'm looking at, the lights are all too bright
My brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor
Sweep 'em up. Throw 'em away, don't want 'em anymore
Clouds race across the sky, day turns into night,
Still there are the questions, no answers in sight
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Starin' out the window, everything is just too bright
Brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor,
Wish I could unscrew my head, and kick it out the door...
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange

Man, oh, man

I'm definitely glad that this is not a competition. No one would stand a chance next to this one.

The fair maiden's are sure to be swooning over this.

 All my love,

Whilst I see so many great knights posting up their sentiments in pure romantic words, I feel a touch insecure now... lovely ladies here are surrounded by brave knights challenged by sven....

Tentatively pushing this up for all you fair ladies to see and read...please say 'yes'      ...

Should I or should I not, put this up for the challenge, I still wonder, questions causing many a pang in my muddled head...

Brave Knight Sudhir, thou hast indeed penned a poem of love
That sings as to the angels up in heaven above
A poem of love's gentle pleading
To a heart that is in want of being

Please Brave Knight, do not sell thy skills short
Thou hast indeed held thine own in this poetic sport!
With words like this to hold for all to see
Methinks that I should be worried about you, instead of you being worried about me!!

Well, Sudhir,

you've captured what women want to hear, they want those 3 simple words...not to be lies.

"The silken skin I will caress, if the light turns to green from red."  I am also awaiting a greenlight with much anticipation.  Very soft and warm poem displaying your soft and tender heart.  May God bless you with the sweetheart of your desires.  James
