Just a repost teaser while I think up something new,
since it sorta fits with the medeval theme, and since Sven is allowing reposts....

I Wished Upon A Falling Star

I wished upon a falling star
And it fell right on my head
I stumbled to the bathroom door
But it was the garden shed

I fiercely fought the Kracken beasts
Entangled in their den
Fangs and claws and skinny necks
I thrashed and kicked them dead

I stumbled out and ran for life
How'd they get in my shed?
Down the street, for haven sought
And hid behind yon garden rocks

I must have warped through time itself
For I heard a maiden call,
Hark, who hides in frigging rocks
You've crushed my treasured holly hocks

With mustard of the bravest knight
I staggered through yon goldfish moot
And fell upon your wooden boat,
I must have scared your furry bunny boots,
Cause they tried to kick me in the snoot.

I woke up in the strangest place,
Soft and frill with maiden's lace,
Which held me tight, from neck to waist
An ancient courting rite, I think I like.

You dabbed and cleaned my tender wounds
Wiped my head of dragon's goo
Strange it smelled of diesel fuel,
And your smile was for me I knew.....

For days and days my fever ruled,
You held my hand and kept me cool.
When the madness was finally through
The queen of my castle, became you.

(I finally fixed the star on the roof, replace my smashed and broken rakes
And locked the garden shed)

Parker, I love this poem, I remember it from way back when and thought it was great then, and I think it is perfect here for the challenge.

Well, Parker HONEY. . . I would say that thou hast garnered some attention with this. . . but I did not say that I was allowing reposts!!!

I would think that such a Knight as thou art wouldst indeed have Romantic phrases just coming off the tip of thy HONEY-coloured tongue. . .

Whilst this was indeed a wonderful poem once, and the ladies did enjoy it. . . I wouldst say that thou shouldst try to compose a new one. . .after all, one does not enter such a fray with a blade once used!!!!

I didn't realize that this "fun" joust thing was going to be so serious.  Perhaps some of the women should put away their claws and realize that friends are friends and as such can joke anyway they please.  particularly under the Canadian stars.....Hun.

your friend,
Marina

I'm under the Canadian stars too (well sunrise now) and this is just plain funny!
Wonderfully written!  I laughed out loud to my monitor.  Thank goodness it doesn't seem to judge me.
Thanks for the repost, or a newbie like me may have missed it!
