With Just A Touch
~*Marge Tindal*~

With a touch of her beauty
she turns on the night
cascading the glow
with stars burning bright

One touch of her hand
the day is gone
night-time shrouding
until early dawn

Of cloudless clime
with star-filled skies
she sings the hush
of lullabies

Held in gentle
slumber's rest
babe tucked tightly
to her chest

Rocking softly
melodious tune
half-way to the
glow of moon

Never done
her watch of night
until there glows
the morning light

Lay down sweet guardian
night-time has passed
weary eyes
now close at last

just a touch, thats all it needs, does it not?

I am TOUCHED.

Many regards, marge,
and I wonder, why I always miss out on such poems when they first come up, must be the time zones....logic, eh? whats that?..strange

My heart is pounding, my stomach's inside out
I'm feeling kind-a-shaky, my mind is full of doubt
All I ever think about, is fearing fear itself,
Wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the shelf
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Don't know what I'm looking at, the lights are all too bright
My brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor
Sweep 'em up. Throw 'em away, don't want 'em anymore
Clouds race across the sky, day turns into night,
Still there are the questions, no answers in sight
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Starin' out the window, everything is just too bright
Brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor,
Wish I could unscrew my head, and kick it out the door...
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange

Marge~ this made me remember rocking my son to sleep.... I miss that so much. Now, he's almost 8 and won't let me rock him cause it's for "babies". I don't have the heart to tell him he still is a baby- my baby.   This is a beautiful poem. As always, you strike a cord in one's heart.   -SEA

Ahh Marge...this reminds me of my Mom.  Yet another masterpiece from you.  You must be a great Mom to write of love so tender between mother and child.  I'm sure that your children adore you as much as we at passions do!

Take care,
Melissa Honeybee

P.S. Have a nice day O' Marge, queen of poetry! (Hey, I had to add that in  )

I feel the peace that lives in this Marge......Real peace

You make me think of being a father, giving my child the comfort and the secure feeling of being loved and protected.

The atmosphere created is a kind of
dont-worry-someoneŽs-watching-you feeling...

Another sweet one.  So very touching.  Everything a mom or dad should be.
Love it!

What a soothing piece of work Marge!  I just walked in the door from a grueling day at work and boy did I need a nice, calm read.  Thanks a bunch and good job!

Sudhir~
I'm so pleased to have touched you.

Kathleen~
Thank you, hon.

Tracie~
That's the way it felt to have written it ..
'lovely and peaceful.'

SEA~
So many memories when this mom rocked her four little ones far into the night.
The most tenderly cherished time in my life.

Melissa~
The ultimate compliment - 'this reminds me of my Mom'.
My four are remarkably close to my heart.

David~
Thank you, hon.

Nando~
Yes, you captured it !  Even though I wrote it from the feminity of motherhood, I fully realize that there are many fathers who stand the loving 'guard.'

Karilea~
We reap the harvest of those precious, tender moments of bonding.
Keeping watch over our priceless treasures.

Lori~
Yes, everything is held in the heart of a mom or dad ... to be savored for the moment and kept for later.

Brian~
Sleep well, my friend.  So glad to have lulled you to sleep.

TennesseeAngel~
Welcome home from a grueling day.
I'm pleased to have helped soothe you.

*Thanks to everyone who enjoyed this poem as much as I enjoyed the muse of the memory that helped me pen it.
