people moving in silent pace trying to beat their singular race streets packed with cars all day long thousands of radios on thousands of songs police on every corner with three foot long sticks big enough to scare away the most determined pricks riot squads and demonstrations almost every weekend I keep wondering if it's me alone who's sickend as bus after bus full of people pass by no one complaining and no one to cry molotov cocktails are thrown once of twice as the people go scurrying in fear like mice trying not to be the last one in sight when the riot police come to put out their fight so many things never said, so much unknown though the actions are terrible, niether side alone what will happen when the sorrows give life to the deepest and darkest of terrible strife behind every poem, a kernel of truth remains, though sometimes, even the one closest to it, is blinded by the light. The downside of society in a nutshell! You're not the only one who's sickened, that's for sure! Unfortunately that is the result of a society in which we are taught that personal interest and advancement is the ultimate goal. We just have to try to remember that things aren't always only bad, and maybe try to do our own little bit, whatever it might be, to make things just that tiny bit better.
