Today has died

As golden rays fade
twilight whispers memories
of precious love made

frolicking above the horizon
I see us through the cloud
of my cigarette
where
you
and
I
once
were
alive
to each ones touch
feelings and needs
where tomorrow didn't arrive
and today was today and not over

where thoughts are now ridiculous
and are of no worth or value
but this is tomorrow
and not yesterday
today has died

As the Quotation says.....
This Angel....
will love you more than yesterday
and less than tomorrow

WOW! this was intense and very
emotionally powerful. i liked the
theme even if it was a sad one. but
just remember...even though today
may have died, there is ALWAYS a
tomorrow. take care m'friend.

As always, I loved reading this one!!  It was not so much sad as bittersweet.  I think that you have to hold on today only as long as is possible and then reach out for tomorrow.  There will always be a tomorrow, and there will always be a yesterday, but todays are oh so fleeting.  Great Work, once again!

Girl, I don't know what it is in your sadness that brings about such exquisite poetry, but it does.

frolicking above the horizon
I see us through the cloud
of my cigarette

Love the word usage here!

Your memories may be bitter ones, but I see a possitive look for tomorrow...well done, Dark Angel.
