[As a personal challenge from Ellie, with our thanks]

We live in a world of diversity,
But unity must exist as a friend,
Deny not the diff'rences all can see
Tolerance must prevail amidst the blend.

Just think of a world, where all is the same,
All things unique were removed, thus devoid,
Where all share sameness in face, thought and name
Instead of all our uniqueness enjoyed.

Bound by laws of state, and morality,
In unity, we share this common ground,
Though oft' diff'rent, seek neutrality
So that the greater good, for all may be found.

To co-exist, unity is a must,
And some conformance we all have to make,
But with respect for others, we build on trust
Each from our vantage, for our nation's sake.

Did I hear somewhere,
"Divided we fall, united we stand"...

Great start at Passions, WELCOME!!!

regards, sudhir

Hey you, out there in the cold,
Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisle,
With itchy feet and fading smile, can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light.
Don't give in without a fight.
Hey you, out there on your own,
Sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me?
Hey you, with your ear against the wall,
Waiting for someone to call out, would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home....

I agree, since the era of "Babel", when  there was one people and one tongue, common gound must be found for unity. amen. marcy
