When Petals Fall
~*Marge Tindal*~

When petals from the arbor fall
floating softly to the ground
May they gather fragrance of you
~* in velveted sweet surround

Crushed beneath light footsteps
releasing memory's recall
I will walk among your fragrance
~* when petals from the arbor fall

Trailing trellised beauties
Roses clinging to the vine enthrall
Letting go their sweetness
~* when petals from the arbor fall

Gather fragrance while you may
Roses bloom beyond the wall
Returning on perfumed delight
~*  when petals from the arbor fall

*Inspired by my wonderful friend
Elizabeth Santos .. AGAIN ! *
'I don't know what I'll do
when those petals fall.'

An inspired piece, I must say,
A brilliant poem, I must add,
I am humbled and stupefied, I wish to say,
I think I should just keep quiet.

Marge, this is beatuful and pictureque, I could feel the petals floating, silently, gently...

regards, sudhir.

Hey you, out there in the cold,
Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisle,
With itchy feet and fading smile, can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light.
Don't give in without a fight.
Hey you, out there on your own,
Sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me?
Hey you, with your ear against the wall,
Waiting for someone to call out, would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home....

Marge - so sweet and smooth - your cousing isn't Suthern (Comfort), is it?  This poem is very well constructed.  Did you intend this style when you started writing it, or did the stlye come to you as you wrote?  That happens to me a lot, so I was wondering if it hits you that way, too.

Marge, this is lovely! I am so sorry not to have emailed you these couple of days...
My email is not working   and I couldn't even get into Passions to tell you before now.
I feel so bad but I can't do anything until my email is up.
It appears that I can recieve but an error occurs whenever I try to send.
As soon as it is up and running again I shall email! Got one in the out box for you already actually!
Love ya, mentor of mine!

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

Actually, it wouldn't take me long to drum up some exact figures for you ... believe me I do know and am grateful for each little thought that jumped into my inkwell.

The inspiration would still have flowered, I think, but it would have been a bouquet of different scents.
I LOVE THE INSPIRATION I FIND IN THIS GARDEN.

Thanks for your thoughts, dear lady.
