A Silly Song Song

Where is the music of the night
when you loved me
gone away away
when you loved gone away.

Away to where the blue bells ring
on nights when dandelions sing
to be a rose of vibrant hue
with velvet dress that holds the dew
With dress that holds the dew dew.

If I could play each minute love
such harmonies I’d play play
that dark would fold in listening love
and beckon you to stay stay
and beckon you to stay.

Where is the music of the night
each loving word
gone away away
each loving word away.

To gorge on harpsichord’s beguile
a tinkle ‘cross the swampland vile
then in the pond light lantern’s wave
to breathe again the day day
to breathe again the day.

If I could play each minute love
such harmonies I’d play play
that day would break in listening love
and beckon you to stay stay
and beckon you to stay.

You leave me sighing Martie, this is beautiful!

and this...

If I could play each minute love
such harmonies I’d play play
that day would break in listening love
and beckon you to stay stay
and beckon you to stay.

Je t'aime plus qu'hier et moins que demain."
I love you more than yesterday and less than tomorrow

Martie~
My magic little melodic muse, ~Mona~, missing from my musing song yesterday ... was visiting with you ! !

Well, this is just an ADORABLE
'Silly Song Song'.

How sweetly you sing it !

Truly a song without a melody, but full of music. So lovely, Martie

Expections are sometimes turned 180 degrees.
Instead of a silly ditty, I am treated with a lovely melody, a nice suprise to greet the morning.

Dark Angel--I think a sigh from you is a good thing.

Marge--Is that who that was, Mona?...she just popped in for a minute.  I think she likes it better with you.

Liz--I'm glad you could hear it...there is music though...but...alas... Ron?

Thank you Kit, you're sweet sweet.

Mike--I hope you like surprises...I do.  Thanks for the turn around.

This is great, Martie   I'm going nuts here trying to figure out which song it is fashioned after. I thought for a minute it was a song about Monica Lewinsky with that "dress that holds the dew dew" line but probably not. How about a little hint here. I know I'll kick myself when ya tell me....

Martie,

A very enjoyable song song to hear.  The last stanza was great...a fitting end to your tune.

Spit Fire--so glad you enjoyed!

Deer--you must pick up your mind...it is fashioned after the song in my heart heart, don't you know....but I still think you are cute cute.

Thanks Lone Wolf...for such a nice comment.

My God what a poet you are. I witness so many things on some of these boards only to realize what can be stated so deeply and simply is often overlooked by modern art undefined but accepted.... Keep up the good work........

What a sweet worded melody - wish I could hear it, but I almost did!
