What a sad heartfelt poem, Spiked and well written.
Life is like that, we choose a path and sometimes we look back. LOL lots of times we look back, and wonder should I have changed the direction, but that is what makes us stronger and wiser- those regrets.
Take care ~netswan
Oh, we could torture ourselves forever on the 'what ifs' of life. I don't think there's a single person in the world who couldn't relate to the feelings expressed in this poem. I loved reading this even if it did make me ponder the 'what ifs' in my own life. Good work!

The troubles were deep And my back I did turn Much too late did I see What I needed to learn
Spiked... I know exactly how this feels to be on the receiving end. It's still happening to me now sometimes, but he's learning... but is the pace to slow for me?? Only time will tell..... Enjoyed it immensely. Linda M.
