When people look my way,
they're going to stop and say
'Yeah, she's the one.'

People are going to be
talking about me
for years to come.

I'm going to leave my mark.
It shall shine through the dark
and the world will know.

Though I may be gone,
my dreams will carry on.
Like flowers, they will grow.

I want to be a part of it all,
more than just a fly on the wall.
People will know I was there.

You can be all you can be,
but you're not a match for me.
For I am truly rare.

I'm going to leave my mark.
More than just a spark,
it's a flame.

When you hear a whimper or a sigh,
someone laugh or someone cry,
you'll hear my name.

The mystery of the sea.
The mountains and their majesty.
That's me.

Kit --  I'm glad you enjoyed it.  It was of the more fun ones to write.

Butterflies --  Thank you for always having such wonderful comments on my work.  I'm glad you enjoy reading my poems because I am always touched by the verses you write.

'deer my dear --  It is truly an honor to have a poet of your callaber read and like something that I have written.

Lone Wolf --  Sometimes my self confidence is only a facade, but it is far better than wallowing in self pity, right?  And you've already made a mark...believe me, I've read your work!

confidence comes from inside and you truely have someone to believe in.

Alle' -- That is one of the nicest things anyone could have said!!  Thank you so much for your input and for your wonderful comments.

Spiked --  Thank you for reading my poem.  We all should have confidence in ourselves and believe even more so in the one who created us.

Angel, you sound like a positive and inspirational person. I loved your poem and could almost feel you when I read it. Talk about "feeling" in your creation!!! LOL
