Lie beside the Lie

I took what dreams may come
And you, what you needn’t see
My heart allowed a window
And you, let yours run free

Each night we reveal
Our innermost desires
A promise of a future
But all of you, is what I require

A question of truth
In a bizarre situation
Whose right, the heart or the head
With the body giving into temptation

So tell me, what I need know
How can there be a “We”?
And do you lie beside the lie
Or does she?

Hi marina,
Love shows through your heart but with skepticism. You may find it out with time.

Marina,

Wonderful expression here.  So many questions you have....I hope the answers are revealed to you.  Funny that at times you think you know someone, only to find out later that they misrepresented themselves.  Truly the lowest of the low.  I am sure your questions will be answered.  Great writing.

Marina,

I like this one very much. I actually got a feeling similar to a poem I submitted, "She & Her". If you get a chance, check it out and let me know

I think I could need - this in my life
I think I'm just scared - that I know too much
I can't relate and that's a problem
I'm feeling ...
If you're gone - maybe it's time to go home
There's an awful lot of breathing room
But I can hardly move
If you're gone - baby you need to come home
cuz there's a little bit of something me...
In everything in you.

I found myself in amazement at this.....It is really good.  Love the line..

And do you lie beside the lie
Or does she?

Excellent

This actually 'cuts like a knife'. Sceptic truth, disturbing question, fine poetry.

Marina, this one is truly a good one ...

Take Care,
regards, sudhir

Hey you, out there in the cold,
Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisle,
With itchy feet and fading smile, can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light.
Don't give in without a fight.
Hey you, out there on your own,
Sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me?
Hey you, with your ear against the wall,
Waiting for someone to call out, would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home....

~~Marina, nice writing. Your work is never disappointing.  Lots of emotion and soulful expression.

Marina very well written but I must admit I don't understand the presentation...are you having an affair with a married man?   Silly me..for asking...Made me think about this...I don't want only half of you...all of you is what I require...cause half a glass of wine could never quench my thirst..it would only wet my desire......   James
