DREAMING

Is this magic, am I dreaming?
Shall I believe this real?
Of light within your eyes gleaming,
This emotion I feel.

By head, by heart, by touch I bleed,
By joy I've never known...
Am I to fear what I so need
That I must be alone?

If I but dream let me not wake
That I come not to know...
But if I wish upon Heartache
May it never let go.

I'd chance any pain offered me
To have just one more day...
To cast upon Eternity
This hope that you may stay.

To hold you in my arms once more,
To look within your eyes.
Those eyes of love I so adore
Through tears I can't disguise.

Upon lips I've tenderly kissed,
Of softest pink and plush.
By skin I've loved, longed for and missed
And have watched sweetly blush.

By words whispered that none may hear
By temptations of lust.
By all Passion that's pulled you near,
Or dared to touch your trust.

Is this magic, this love in you?
That joy and bliss all seem...
To hold my ev'ry wish now true,
Or 'tis but all a dream?

I think I could need - this in my life
I think I'm just scared - that I know too much
I can't relate and that's a problem
I'm feeling ...
If you're gone - maybe it's time to go home
There's an awful lot of breathing room
But I can hardly move
If you're gone - baby you need to come home
cuz there's a little bit of something me...
In everything in you.

Michael; Heavenly poem and so romantic. I surely hope this is or will become a reality for you. With a heart like yours, you deserve this much love and joy. Ellie

Janet, allowing myself to dream I am - and never could I have thought up a more beautiful one...     All smiles here.

serenity - Ah, my eyes are open - as is my heart...  (no dreaming allowed, eh?)

ellie, TY - very much a reality, I'm sure.

tracie, been a long time coming but every bit worth the wait I may add...

Kit, TY - the ending usually makes the whole poem for me...

Irish Rose, Indeed, nothing else even comes close.

Amy, Thank you my dear friend - I have wished similiarly for you...

Rebecca - I keep pinching myself... LOL  and her as well...

Sunshine - no, haven't heard that one lately... but still good to know...LOL

Thank you all for the kind replies...

Michael

Michael...it seems we have some catching up to do here   Grinning big time and hoping against all hopes that you are not dreaming.

If this be a dream I see
If night and mind play tricks on me
Let me not from it awake
But further into sleep please take
If her whisper be unreal
Let not my poor heart sorrow feel
But ban me to my dreams to dwell
If daylight breaks this magic spell

Sheesh -- I woke up with all these bruises, like someone had been pinching me -- know anything about that, Michael m'dear?

OK hun -- I have good news and bad ...

Good news:  This isn't a dream.  I am real, alive, and here with you ... and I absolutely adore you (how could I not?).

Bad news:  This isn't a dream.  I am real, alive, and subject to the whim of reality -- which as we both know isn't all daisychains. Here's hoping that these two stubborn poets can shape the reality to resemble the dream ...

Hugs and smooches,

--Me

Full fathom five thy father lies,
Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

I have only one thing to say......

Everybody should be adored by somebody
