To build a land and people it
where nothing stood before
Dream castles with tall steeples lit
within from memories stored

Phantasms in a rigid world
whose rules give scant lee-way
The poet with his pen as sword
leaps into the fray

To carve a niche through mental blocks
that order cannot bind
Bridging the gap between what's real
and the visions of the mind

Lay waste to doubt with confidence
that inspiration brings
Encircling his head the many words
his thoughts have given wings

To tour this world one merely has
but to steal a glance
Behind the lines reality
enveils with her stance

And hope a change of circumstance
affords you such a view
That you may dance across the spanse
the words lay before you

Loved theses thoughts...

"To carve a niche through mental blocks
that order cannot bind
Bridging the gap between what's real
and the visions of the mind"

...stranger things have happened.  Words could change a rigid world into one that allowed visions to unwind.

Thank you for sharing...this is beautiful. I love the imagery.

~To build a land and people it

within from memories stored

Phantasms in a rigid world
whose rules give scant lee-way
The poet with his pen as sword
leaps into the fray~

That says it all.Well Done!!

d. ,
and with style , I might add...
Marge ,
Good to hear from you again , my friend .
Mike ,
Glad you enjoyed .
Jana ,
A new afficianado ? Always room for one more !
M.Blue ,
Surely all this praise will go to my head , which is already quite large enough !

But I do want to thank you all for the welcome back !
