The lady sings the blues

The last thing I remember
Is that I felt somewhat weird
Drinking too many Shirley’s
and a guy who volunteered

I woke up in this city
With these red lights all alround
Yes I felt somewhat ackward
Like a cat who just drowned

But I came to my senses
And am still in a great shock
From these Ladies in rubber
Thought they were the Lobto-mob

I found out I’m abducted
By some guy from Amsterdam
Who is running this cafe
With a rubber doll madam

I’m the latest attraction
For some cheap beer drinking men
In a dubious cafe
Never saw a gentleman

I do not know what happened
All they told me I must sing
Sing the blues from deep inside
Which is easy.....I miss King !

So I sing of my lost love
Of the times that have gone by
When red crayons were drawing
And One Flew Over could fly

Of my Mother who hates me
And Doc Moose out on his quest
Of Justins in straitjackets
And how our stew was the best

At the end of the evening
I make them cry all these sots
But they always ask again
To sing my song of Andrew Scott

About the room with a view
My Knight in shining armour
The Ruler of the East Wing
The most wanted bachelor

And when the light are turned low
The cafe in reddish hues
With a yearning husky voice
Lady in Red sings the Blues

~~~~~
In shining armour
I see you before me
my Crayon Knight
With all my heart
I yearn for thee
Your words
pure melody
of love’s delight
My life’s
true symphony
Crystal tears
of felicity
Your embrace
a sweet caress
serenity
Our dreamship
cruises the stars
inevitable destiny
Crayon Knight
my love, you are
I’m flying
without wings
Kindred spirit
my one and only
Crayon King
~~~~~~~

When the music finally ends
And these grown men wipe their eyes
Standing here on stage alone
That’s when I break down and cry

Where are my fellow ‘Stuters ?
Will I see my King again ?
Lady in Red sang the blues
Please don’t leave me here in vain

Oh my goodness ! I am AmsterDAMNED !

Thank you Eloise. I'm glad it made somebody smile, because the Lady really feels blue, as she misses the red crayon hues.

Dear Lady in Red ,
I'm sorry you're blue
Though it's Justin Myhead
I miss Andrew too

I've not been around
Got this new ISP
So soon you will all
Hear alot more from me

Which may not be good
Depends how you think
But all of this silence
Has drove me to drink

C'mon down King
The price is still right
What say we give Lady
A new reason to write ?

Doc

This is fantastic!  I haven't visited this site or written anything  for a long time now and I've come back here to a top notch poem.  You have inspried me to keep writing - thank you!  Why do you feel so blue?  You can touch people in a great way, surely that's something to be pleased about?

 The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition.

Hello milady, so there yar
Just met up with good old Moose
Now I see he had the ISP
Tell me what's yar excuse ?

Abducted by a shabby weird guy ?
Singing th blues in a dark cafe ?
Can I play with that rubber doll ?
Invite that lobto-mob for tea ?

Sorry got a bit carried away
Cuz we're heading for the 'Stute
If ya ever meet up with Andrew Sir
Will ya tell it to our King of the dudes ?

Cuz I hope ya follow as soon as ya can
Yeah I know this abduction's a sham
But a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do
To keep the interest of her man

Now Andrew Sir get yar Royal butt in here at the double and get yar Lady back to the 'Stute ! Quit playing with that paraffin wax....time enuff for that later....

Enola dear...didn't ya know we are just a bunch of loonies, fruit cakes, weirdos who escaped from the 'Stute for a while ? Don't ya worry m'dear, we're not dangerous at all, just contagious.   Glad the Lady inspired ya to write more and more and more.....
Visit us anytime.   Whenever ya see "'Stute" added.....that's us.

My dearest daughter Juliet
I'll be there soon we'll be a duet
singing together will be no sweat
so relax my dear don't you fret.

I wondered where you went off to
but without your crayon king you seemed blue,
drinking with your new buddy ONE FLEW
as you waited for sweet Andrew.

My God that was a part of the soul. I loved it beyond expression. Down to the guts of deep simplicity you went with this, bless the setting and the reality.

My dearest Juliet
I'm detained
at the moment.
Problems
at the Stute
need my attention.
Hold the men off
till I get there
then we'll blow
them away.

Lady,
I'm here
to blink
you back.

The Stute's
your home
so hold on
I'll have you
here in a jiffy.

Oh dear,
where are you?
I blinked you
back to the Stute
but your not here.

Don't worry
I'll get help for you,
Doc Moose
is the smart one
I'll get him to help.

We'll find you
or give us
a message
and I'll
get it right
next time.

Last I recall we were havin' 'Stute fun
Near a place called Area Fifty-one
I, Crayon King was shakin' the mix
Stirrin' the gin with paraffin sticks
While Lady in Red was by my side
She, snug as a bug in Moose's ride
Good Doctor Moose was mad at the wheel
He made the motor race, the tires squeal
And Jeannie his Jinn, a green eyed cat
Drunk with slurred purrs, in the side seat sat
Nurse C was groovin' with Chip n' Dale
Those two Vegas dudes who danced real swell
E. Fudd the Spud was huntin' big game
Lil' men from Mars I think was his aim
The Justin Crew was also there
Rhyme and Kase, Innuendo fair
And I do believe was One Flew Over
With Ian pet European dog rover

Now if I forgot anyone
Chalk it up to too much hot sun
To a bad mix of Rico Rum
And a little green man's ray gun

How I got pulled from Moose's car
I know not, but I'll tell you this
Aboard that alien space craft
They all look a lot like Elvis

To the stars and back… not this trip
Seems equilibrium's a must
And Martian pilots can't just sip
For One-Fifty-One they do lust

I'm not sure what went down
Nor what went up and to the sides
But roller coasters got nothing on
Drunken Martian spaceship rides

Next I knew we were Terra bound
Skipping off lands Green, Ice, and Eng
Across the channel we did ground
Near Amsterdam our final fling

Elvis and I are now on the road
Trying to get back to the 'Stute
But first we must check out the sounds
And have a drink of Absolute

Opening the door to the Blue Light Café… The Crayon King and Elvis enter the building.
To be continued…

My goodness Jinn ! Where did I go !
There’s no light here, just a red glow!
What do I feel there on the floor ?
It looks like a hidden trapdoor !
I carefully open the hatch
These stairs look as if I’m on a ledge
Should I take off my red high heels ?
Oh my, this depth does make me reel
Barefeet I walk down through the dust
The creaking steps cry out:  injust !
Wrapped in a shroud of mystery
I walk towards my destiny.......

Right there ! A door in front of me !
Quietly open it and see........

Ha ha ! I really got you Jinn !
‘Cause that is not where I have been !
I’m sorry, couldn’t help it Jinn
Forgive Lady this little sin ?

Instead I’ve been up on this joist
As if I really had a choice
Your magic sent me up the air
And here I sit with Lady flair
Looking at all these drunken men
Waiting for their "delicatessen"
Drooling over their lukewarm drinks
Giving every waitress a blink

What is this squeaky sound I hear !
This beam won’t hold my weight I fear !
I’m falling ! Landing on my rear !
Oh no ! There come the volunteers !

I hear the front door opening
And look right up to see straight in.....

The eyes of my beloved Crayon King !

To be continued ????
