Who put the rock in the rock-sha-bop-sha-bop
Who put the dirt in the spam-a-ram-a-ding dong
Who put the paint on the dog-da-dip-da-dip
Who put the worm in the pot sha-bop-sha-bop
Who is  that man, I’d like to shake his hand
A two year old who tears my house apart

Everytime I hear---- clash-bang-splittery-splittery
Boppity-bop-bop
I’ve got one more vase beyond repaaaair
And everytime I hear---- thump-de-dump-de dump
Bop-a-bop-a bing bang
He threw the dog back down the staaaaaairs

Sooooooo, who put the cat in the sink-da-dink-da-dink
Who put the soap in the bop-a-bop-a-birdbath
Who put the coins in the dip-da-dip-da-dip
Who put the phone in the tub-dee-dub-dee-dub
Who is that man, I’d like to shake his hand
That two year old steals my heart away

Everytime I see,----splittery-splat-splittery-splat
splat-a-splat-a-split-splat
Upon my nice white sofa cuuuushions
And everytime I hear---- pitta-pat-pitta-pat-pitta-pat footsteps
I know I’m in for one more bruuuisin’

Soooooo, who put the gum in the rug dee-dum-dee-dum
Who put the salt in the lime-a-lime-a cool aid
Who put the cool aid in the gun-dee-dum
Who put the squirt in the drip-dee-dip-dee-dip
Who is that man, whose handprints fill my walls
I live my life in peanut butter’s thralls

Dip-dee-dip-dee-dip
Bopity-bop grandson
Doodley-doo.doodley doo
Doop dee doop dee doop
La-la-la-la-la.......
la-dee-da-dee-da-da..

Lizzie~
Who put da-thump
in a grandma's heart ?
Who put da-bliss
on grandma's kiss ?
Who put da sunshine
on grandma's face ..
little grandson ...
(alias Dick Clark)
bopping the night away !

You know that this is either
absolutely adorable ... OR ...
your resume for entrance into
da-Stute da-doot-dah-doot
so cute-ta-toot-ta-toot ! ! !
Love you, Lizzie~

A very fun poem. It made me smile as I have a four year old and can relate.

Well, it's official. You've flipped!!! Over the edge!!! ROFL!!!! I love it.....not only the words but the thought behind the creation......LOL!

(another American Bandstand oldie)

I was standing
On the corner
When I heard Elizabeth
She was screamin'
"Boys, I tell ya..
Kids are driiiiivin'
Me to death!"

They can stagger me
Make me silly
Knock my head down
To the floor
And I just don't know how
I can take it
Any more!

They put pepper
In my toothpaste
They put runners
In my hose
Threw the cat into the dryer
And he tore up
All my clothes.

How they stagger me
Make me crazy
I gave birth to
Some bad seed.
If you give me one more chance, Lord,
I will promise
Not to breed!

Thanks all for your comments, but Marge and Balladeer hit the nail on the head,
I have totally flipped out!
Aren't I allowed to do that once in a while?
THanks for the poem, Michael, real cute

Ingenious - I loved this Elizabeth! I found myself smiling and humming along the tune the whole way though ... and yes, I was doing the hand-jive too!  Absolutely loved this Elizabeth, your little grandson sounds like he keeps you "hoppin and boppin" ... what a treasure!

Best wishes to you,
/Kit

I'll give it a 9 Dick..  it has a good beat to dance to and all the kids will buy it because it rocks.

I have had two such men in my life, my sons, and what an appropriate song...cuz keeping them clean and SAFE and out of mischief was like harnessing a tornado!
