As the satin veil of darkness falls
Within feathery folds your memory calls

It begs me follow close and cling to it
My soul is but a candle waiting to be lit

Defenseless against the power you hold
Even after the embers of touch are cold

The magic of ebony sky begin to mesmerize
Your image emerges amidst diamond skies

Here in the sanctuary the night sky built
The darkness releases any traces of guilt

I’m free to hold you close but out of sight
Under the guarded blanket of the night

Allowing my heart to open for you
To sample the nectar of love so true

As the morning comes I curse the rise
Your image escapes my tranquil skies

Good bye sweet love until the moon rise
I release your memory into diamond skies

BDC,
This is awesome!
Oh how dreams can set us free if only for
a short while.
We have them to hang onto night after night!
Beautifully writen!

ButterfliesDC~
There is magic in the glint
of the night sky lit
with the glow of diamond dust
from your pen.

I enjoyed the thoughts.

I think JM has said it best, this just simply exquisite!..amazing!....I think this is the best work I have seen from you and some of the best work I have EVER seen.

Exquisite, beautifull, awesome, magical, they are all words that do this work justice. My words cannot properly describe how this has moved me, thankyou for sharing .

I think I know the type of sky you are talking about, they are mix of light blue, a pale brilliant white and some grey, they appear to have a dreamy quality. I love those type of skies.

As the satin veil of darkness falls
Within feathery folds your memory calls

It begs me follow close and cling to it
My soul is but a candle waiting to be lit

Defenseless against the power you hold
Even after the embers of touch are cold

The magic of ebony sky begin to mesmerize
Your image emerges amidst diamond skies
a magical and beautiful poem.
