I was inspired to write this poem when my grandmother died of leukemia in 1991.  Now, it has even more meaning as I am trying to cope with the loss of my father in 1999 to pancreatic cancer. I miss both of them very much and even though they are gone, my love is never-ending.  This is dedicated to my "Granny" and of course, my daddy~from your little girl...

Missing You Always
by angelRN2001

It seems like just yesterday
that you had to go away.
I guess I never will know why
And I never really said goodbye.

I still can picture your amazing smile
It made a bad day seem so worthwhile.
Living without you for all these years
I find it hard to hold back tears.

I wish I could visit you,
And do things we used to do
Could help to ease some of the pain
Until someday when I see you again.

It is so difficult to describe
How I am feeling inside.
I hope that you can hear me when I say
That I love you and am missing you always.

a lovely dedication to two close people that you have lost. I sure that where ver in Heaven they are they are smiling at your beautiful words.

I still can picture your amazing smile
It made a bad day seem so worthwhile.
Living without you for all these years
I find it hard to hold back tears.

wonderful poem.

This is wonderful writing. Made me

cry...literally!

My dad died of pancreatic cancer in 1965 and

I always remember his smile and how it felt

to be lifted above his head to see the stars

better.

Thanks for the memories.

Oh, how sad and heart-wrenching this is.  I know how you feel....always hard to lose a loved one.  My mom died eight years ago today...still miss her terribly.  You just have to try and pass on to others what you have learned from them.  Those memories are precious and should be cherished...always.  Great writing and welcome to Passions.

Beautiful tribute!
I've lost my grandfathers, I know your pain and
that feeling that you can't seem to describe.
Hugs to you Angel and Welcome to the Passions Family!
