The Apple was a Pretty Red

The apple was a pretty red
a worm was making up a bed
inside the apple all cozy and warm
safe away from thunder and storm
a girl came by and took a big bite
and gave the worm an awful fright

Oh Boy ... you're really going back now NetSwan!  Third grade, oh my goodness, this was great.  Glad you found this little treasure ... now who was more frightened ... the apple or the worm?!?  Wonderful!  Thanks for digging deep and finding this one!

Best wishes,
/Kit

wow all the way back to 3rd grade, a lovely poem. even then your talent was evident... the drama...the conflict...wonderful poem.

  Kit - great Challenge,
Magnolia - hehe - a little netswan LOL never
thought of myself as netswan back then.   - Sharon - this is the  second posting I have seen where mention you can't remember being 8 - gosh, hope that is not true --- I can remember pieces of things way back to newborn such as the
tramatic boringness of staring at pink ceiling with a white weaved walls all around
me, and I didn't have the the words for any
of it. Just a garbled thought of a me in
a bassinet wondering if I should start fussing earlier so I could get some care faster.

JM - hehe thanks
Brian - oh, yes the drama came out early in
me. LOL see above -)

Thanks all -- Kit this was easy to pull out
of a hat, I have never forgotten it. It
was a class assignment and it was put in
the school newspaper - I was in 7th heaven
of fame and glory for a whole week.
