Pages Of The Past
~*Marge Tindal*~

Images of the past cascading
Falling in surround
Recall of the melody
The song you left around

You fell in soft surprise
from pages of the past
Brought new revelations
of a love that was meant to last

Held within the Rolodex
of memories from the past
You came
You sang
You breathed of love
That love will always last

Thumbing through your memories
now laying in soft surround
Finding all the reasons
why you never let me down

In soft repose now tucked among
the satin memory pages
Songs of just one yesterday
lingers through the ages

The jukebox of my heart
where old love songs seem to stick
Wouldn't you just know
ours hung around
and became a classic

I so enjoyed this Marge ... especially your last line where your love "became a classic". It's so wonderful to know that such deep and committed love exists so wonderfully in your heart.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Beautiful Marge - such a lovely sweet poem.
Aw, I love reminiscing the past
and yet, still cling to the future.

Wonderful lines...my faves, but the whole poem is great...just like you are!

Dear Marge,

This is a super poem....really lovely.

          Images of the past cascading
                                                Falling in surround
                                              Recall of the melody
                                            The song you left around
--------------------------

You got it just right in this one...as in all of yours.
I am sorry I took so long to get to your poems this time...I really was too tired last night when I got back from a play we went to watch.
Love ya Marge!!
Love and hugs,
Lizzie

Ah Marge, again you've read my mind...as I read your piece I saw this gorgeous old jukebox in my mind...scrolling down through the responses...what indeed do I find?!

Rock on!

oooh this was wonderful, love should grow old and become an antique...a bit faded and rumpled but even MORE valuable that when it was new
I like this lots

Sunshine~
Glad you found B-9 on the jukebox !
Here's a little history lesson about
the Rock-ola jukebox.

=============================================
In 1936 the Queen Mary made her maiden voyage from New York City. She was the newest and most luxurious ship afloat. Capturing the moment, David C. Rockola delivered one of his 12-Selector Jukeboxes to her decks, and the headlines read "The Queen Will Have Music Wherever She Goes."

XAngel~
I couldn't agree with you more !
A treasure to hold for sure.
