Oh precious darling
Sweet song of night
Bring forth your love
Escape from this fright

Keep hold of my hand
Safe, warm and tight
Embrace my heart
Keep me in light

Sweet little lullaby
As I lie in your arms
Wanting it deeply
Needing it more

Close your eyes slowly
Feel my breath on your neck
Tickle your ear
For your heartbeat I’ll check

Beating so wildly
As you lie there in wake
Thinking so gently
How much more you can take

Slumbering on
This dream in your head
No waking moments
Just sleeping instead

Tossing and turning
It feels so unreal
This craving and yearning
Your skin I must feel

Reaching to touch you
Your skin close to mine
The dizzying feeling
I go on to find

That this is no dream
But real as you see
The first touch consumes me
I’m now feeling free.

This is beautiful----very very sweet sentiment here--and please, somebody check for MY heartbeat---I know at the very least it just skipped a beat...

Thank you very much Lizzie

Serenity this was an attemp at a Lullaby that we talked about (your challenge) needless to say the words took their own path so I let it go where it wanted
sometimes poetry writes itself I am only the channel used to put it on paper.
Thanks for being there
