He looked at the tree,
and said to me,
"Y'know, this fruit will ripen, sour..."

I looked at him,
replied with grin,
"Did you not know?  We're growing LEMONS..."

Optimism is very nice trait.
We could all use some now and then.
Thanks

Ahhh....reminds me of that Peter, Paul, and Mary song, "Lemon Tree".....thank you for the happy memory; with all that is going on in my life right now, it sure helped tremendously.  Wonderful poem.

"you've been talking for an hour and I swear to God,I cant hear a word you say...
The end is coming he don't even feel it
It's a strange sensation, I'm almost happy
And I believe, I believe I'm just plain tired"
~Tabitha's Secret~

Biting sarcastic (made me wince, anyway), but not without humor. Now you know why I don't have any lemon trees.
