What Will You Say

What will you say, if I ask you to stay
With no word of loyalty just for a day
Sit down on my pillow, sing songs to a star
And strum wondrous music upon your guitar

I’ll watch you and sway to your soft lyric word
To rhythms of wind and a small mocking bird
I’ll nourish your spirit,  I’ll comfort your mind
And you’ll not want to go from this calm you will find

What will you say, if I ask you to stay
And bask in a fountain of bliss for a day

I'd say YES! Nice work, Elizabeth--very peaceful.

Liz~
This is just a wondrous work from you.
I wouldn't want to say NO ..
but I could not say anything with that
awful 'unsaid ' thing in it ...
so will say, No Thanks !
But thanks for asking !

do i have to give my answer right now, can I get back to you on it.

For such a difficult challenge you made it appear easy. A wonderful response to the challenge, a lovely poem.

I’ll watch you and sway to your soft lyric word

The true mark of talent is the ease with which it is displayed.  Liz, you have talent.

Well, I was going to answer yes or certainly or of course or sure or absolutely but since they all contain an "e" I'll just say "You got it, pilgrim!"

Lovely poem, Liz!  Just one thing, I would have signed it "Liz" instead of "ElizabEeth,"
ya know?

LOL
