This brave knight stands
The last in line
To battle for love
His call divine

The sword of truth
Now he holds
Honor his shield
Battles the foe

He stands defiant
Hearing the call
He'll not rest
Till they fall

Never defeated
His pledge remains
To life itself
And love the same

His madness deepens
He feels her pain
He sees her tears
Fall down like rain

He holds her heart
In his hands
Keeping it safe
From time's sands

The sorcerers die
Their evil defeated
Drawing from each other
The strength that's needed

The damsel rescued
Her heart made whole
Her song of thanks
Filling his soul

My tale ends now
A tale of might
Telling the love
Of this brave knight

What a quaint romantic tale you tell here.  I have always liked your Knight stories.  Now if I could just find my knight in shining armour, I'd be in business! LOL

Wonderful tales of love, you weave, ever so romantic, ever so classy...

Sven, your poems are a delight to read...

Regards, sudhir.

P.S. a spelling error has creeped in 8 lines from the end (rescued). sorry for pointing out a very small blemish, but thought it necessary to point it anyway...

Hey you, out there in the cold,
Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisle,
With itchy feet and fading smile, can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light.
Don't give in without a fight.
Hey you, out there on your own,
Sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me?
Hey you, with your ear against the wall,
Waiting for someone to call out, would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home....

Sven,

I always look forward to your posts.  I love a romantic and a gentleman at heart.  Wish there were more like you.  Your words always speak straight to my heart.
