A pretty late entry, but I submit this all the same. Thanks in advance for reading...

Dark Shadows Run Away...

Part I
-------
Blinding sunlight
From out of a windowsill,
Blazing, flaming light,
Dark shadows, in my soul, loom still.

Soul stirring, brain twisting,
Ghosts from past,
Control my mind, crushing,
Swirling my body, I stay aghast.

Part II
--------
Logic took an amazing about-turn,
Quickly shutting out light,
Pulling down iron curtains, dim lamps now burn
As I wait, trying to calm this fight.

Approaching midnight,
Await stars shining afar,
To control my passion, put it right,
Via Milky Way, I saw, coming a car

Part III
---------
A wagon stops by my windowsill,
Sparkling shiny spots of light,
A ghostly body, talks with sound so shrill,
Pulls out a hand and grabs my throat.

Says in husky sounds,
"Did you think, curtains will cloud truth?"
"Prison is within your mind,
A wall is built within your soul"

Part IV
---------
Past days soon found a path away,
I did not find a shackling chain,
Blinding sunlight, now did not hurt,
Final brick of my wall is put in right,

I had victory,
Now firm in my sight,
I had finally
Won my fight,

That's it, that's it.

------

Hey you, out there in the cold,
Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisle,
With itchy feet and fading smile, can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light.
Don't give in without a fight.
Hey you, out there on your own,
Sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me?
Hey you, with your ear against the wall,
Waiting for someone to call out, would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home....

Wow, this is great... and no E's? I can't even write my name without using 5 of them! Great job.

LoveBug,
Me too. I am so attracted to 'E's that I had at several occasions, the tilt towards the sound of 'e', had to resist it pretty hard...

Thanks for reading and posting 'great'...

shilpi,
A deep sense of gratitude flows from this muse,
a sincere thank you flows instead of ink...

Regards, sudhir

WOW Sudhir
fantastic poem, and no e's. This is one challenge I knew I would not be able to do.
Count the e's I have used so far, see! it would be extreme hard for me to enter this challenge.
anyway,
loved the poem.

Blinding sunlight

Blazing, flaming light,
Dark shadows, in my soul, loom still.

Soul stirring, brain twisting,
Ghosts from past,
Control my mind, crushing,
Swirling my body, I stay aghast.

excellent piece.
