hey everyone, a very beautiful song inspired me to write this poem, I sure do hope you enjoy.

There you see him
acting without words
       moving a slow
trance-like dance
  evoking a response
    he captures the
              windows of souls
   expressing himself
extravagantly
     emphasising his
feelings of importance
and prominence
      miming his way
   to their hearts
until soft
   wave-like murmurs
         fill the air

DarkAngel~
You have described the 'Mummer's Dance'
to perfection.
I LOVED -
'miming his way
   to their hearts'

One of my fondest recalls is to see the 'Mummers' do their dance in parades.
Awesome !
Thank you .. now what was the song ?

How could we ever get our ideas across without words? I have a lot of respect for these entertainers! Good poem, my friend.

nice work, dark angel...

Hey you, out there in the cold,
Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisle,
With itchy feet and fading smile, can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light.
Don't give in without a fight.
Hey you, out there on your own,
Sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me?
Hey you, with your ear against the wall,
Waiting for someone to call out, would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home....

Excellent DA!!

Looking for that song right now!!  Ah for the times when Mummers danced across the fields and plains of time. . . and that they would still dance now. . .

Wonderful. . .

I must be part mime because I'm speechless after reading your poem. This is really beautiful. Wouldn't it be a terrific world if people were judged by their actions and not their words? Here's to Mime Power - the Silent Majority!

Maree hon - I am SOOOOO glad I subjected you to this song...hehe...for it produced a radiant poem. For further info it is from the CD 'Moods 4'. Everyone, it is well worth finding and listening to...

See M - I was right about your line 'he captures the windows of souls' wasn't I? LOL -  it is exquisite.

Hmmn, now with something like this, you'd just have to be talking about Ricky Martin right?  Oooh yeah!

LOL DA, I enjoyed this one much. Funny where that inspiration can come from at times isn't it?  ~HUGS~
