languid days drenched 'neath summer fulgent
while dream drugged eyes close indulgent

lay I, basked in summer's recalescence
in skin soaked foam effervescence

as crested waves wet foamy strand
while erstwhile trove cast over sand

find there now among oceanic raff
a shell, a rock, a shard of glass

fettered in sun soaked torpor
stretched I again on crumbly shore

slipped once more by slow degrees
into restful, languid summer sleep

"Our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything."
--William Shakespeare

this is really lovely! (but what's a 'fulgent'? hehe)

very 'nanesque', indeed... you have some sensual & vivid images in here... i was right there at the shore with you... nice one, heather
