Guardian of Forever

I stand before you on the Threshold of Eternity
I am not your servant and you are not mine
You are the Blood force of the Past, Present and Future
And I am the Watcher of the Eons, Sentinel of Time
The balance between the chaos and the order,
I am the Guardian of Forever…

Time is the Abstract, the Moment of Constant Revisions,
The hour of the Apocalypse, the second of the Genesis
It is the Cycle of Rebirth and Death, Truth of the Universe
The future is the beginning of the pasts of tomorrow,
And the past is the end of all yesterdays…
Today is the Window of Time, the Reality of all Life.

Now is the moment, the Spark of all Destinies,
Where the past and future collide into purity
The Force of the Universe, the Light of the Darkness,
You are the Children of the Now, the Breath of Today,
The Vessels of the Gift, and I the Giver and The Gift,
I am the Guardian of Forever, For I am Love.

Absolutely beautiful, Parker---these are the words of that still, small voice that I have been missing so much of late...thank you, thank you, thank you for this whispered answer to a prayer......

WOW, I love this!!!!  This is so perfect!  I don't recall lending you my witchcraft books....( Isn't that what you call them, when I read my books about the soul and it's journey's??? LOL.  This is truly a very deep thought provoking poem.  My new favourite of yours, and you know how hard that is.  Simply wonderful James!  Did I mention I liked it?

You are the Children of the Now, the Breath of Today,
The Vessels of the Gift, and I the Giver and The Gift,
I am the Guardian of Forever, For I am Love.

a great image, ideed in these strange days the only thing that keeps us focused and sane is love.

Time is the abstract, the moment of constant revisions,
The hour of the Apocalypse, the second of the Genesis
It is the cycle of rebirth and death, truth of the universe
The future is the beginning of the pasts of tomorrow
And the past is the end of all yesterdays…
Today is the Window of Time, the reality of all life.

I love the images in this, it is almost like a passage from revelations only written with way more style and poetic flow. Fantastic poem.

Park,

this is a definite departure for you, liked the contrasts and the power in it.

So, if time is in the abstracts, am I really writing this response now?  LOL

Nice work.

Parker,
This one is an engrossing work!!!

Time is the abstract, a generalization of reason, love, desire, hate, life and death and many more natural, sub-natural and super-natural wonders.....

Regards, sudhir

Hey you, out there in the cold,
Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisle,
With itchy feet and fading smile, can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light.
Don't give in without a fight.
Hey you, out there on your own,
Sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me?
Hey you, with your ear against the wall,
Waiting for someone to call out, would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home....

Janet, me thinks you want me on the pedistal again....

Corinne, I would say a big yes to that, because I'm reading it now, and I exist in the now, so I would say you are writing it everytime I read it. Thank you my sweet friend.

Sudhir, thank you for reading, super-great of you friendly poet.

So, let's see, if it's 8:15 a.m. here and 11:15 a.m. there, and the longitude and latitude are approximately in concurrence with true north, then the polar axis is aligned with the...oh, forget it!

Sunshine, you very welcome, prefessional...not. but thanks anyway

Corinne, so your saying that if we get horizontal at 8:15 the latitude will probably become longitudal which could have a polar affect on true north, if its approximately in concurrence with and aligned with the proper axis this could last until 11:15 am.... yes makes sense to me.

Jana, thank you...

You are one really really deep person - great writing - {watch out for Corinne, she's a man-eater (I suspect) who is more than a match for any two men I know} (My conclusions are based on the last line of her "Icicles" poem - what a killer line it is!)

Incidently - I wrote a pretty poem with you in it - something about friendships and trust.  I hope you enjoy.

LngJhnAg, yes I sorta guessed that about her,
and I was counting on it.
Into the fray then.... sword and shield ready..

Yes and thanks for putting me into your pretty poem. I'm sure to check it out....
