Life's Songs
~*Marge Tindal*~

Life sings of us
the songs of mirth
The sweetest song
life-giving birth

Aria of our youth
sung in sweet surprise
Within our hearts
soon harmonized

Sings of us
through all our days
Joyous melodies
sung with praise

Melody of hearts
so tender
Pitch us now
in sweet surrender

Song of another
pierces our soul
Singing love
until we're old

Life sings of us
sweet lullabies
Kisses us softly
then says
goodbye

Within a heart
our song returning
Hummed now in
a heart of mourning

It matters much
the song life sings
Caught in the joy
of remembering

Life sings of us
sweet lullabies
Kisses us softly
then says
goodbye

Very moving. Songs can be sad, happy, angry,a ny mood. They can say hi or bye also. Very nice poem.

"Life sings of us

a beautiful poem, I often find that music can amplify my mood. Just like poetry, and your poem has made me even happier than before I read it.

Your poetry does sing of nature, or life.
Wonderful poem (but then, what else do you create)

Marge, if life sings us so many songs, I guess that's why there are so many "grammys".

I do love singing ... and I hum the memory of friends.  Thanks, love.

Balladeer~
I'm glad you enjoyed.
I'm not a granny yet !
(Oh, ... you said GRAMMY !)
Yeah ... makes sense to me.
Love you .... and it figures
that a Balladeer would like a
poem about songs.

A song can mean so many different things, depending on the mood...so can life's songs! Perfectly in tune, Marge.

Yes, songs are a great part of our lives, and they often make some of the best moments of our lives. Sometimes, I don't know what I would do without my music. Listening to great artists, or playing it on the piano. A wonderful reminder, Marge.

EagleOne~
Rejoicing in song is a good thing.
Remembering those who made the melodies hum, is a necessary thing.

Corinne~
I could just {{HUG}} you !
Yes, there are songs to be sung,
joy to be had ... and humming the memories.
Thank you soooooo much for understanding my heart.

Lizzie, my friend~
You know the songs my heart has sung ..
