Just Because

You go ahead and cry and cry,
No one can say the reason why
Love unfolds the way it does.

Every day the sun fades away
Just because, just because.
You go ahead and cry.

You go ahead and laugh and laugh,
No one can say that love won't last
When love unfolds the way it does.

Every day the sun comes our way
Just because, just because.
You go ahead and laugh.

You go ahead and sigh and sigh,
Not enough time for you and I,
As love unfolds the way it does.

And every day I pray and pray,
Just because, just because.
And I go ahead and sigh.

Looks like you have a little..?

Well, I'll be watching... I don't think it's so good to start off criticizing as it builds a name for yourself. But who am I to say... that may be just what you want to do...

Really nice approach of how you wove these verses together.
I'll keep my eyes open for more of your poetry

Thanks for the kind words. I'm new to on-line forums and I find this one very interesting. When I have more time I would like to read more poems, including yours bunny, marina, poet devine, doreen, coco, and lucky. lucky, your message is very cryptic. I just want to be able to read original poetry and share mine and hear people's reactions. I invite good criticism about how to make a poem better.

Thanks again,

Mark

Thanks for that Balladeer. This is a great forum. I think anyone who writes poetry and wants to learn more and improve had better develop a thick skin. I'm very interested in the mechanics of poetry and learning about different meters and rhyme schemes, etc. I guess the purpose of poetry is to communicate when other methods of communication just don't work, and the clear we can make our poems the better we can communicate. Thanks for the kind words.

Mark,

You have my apology if I spoke rather... out of place. It was only because I had read your reply's on a couple of other poems. I think your work good and I see my respone to you may have been out of place. Please do forgive.

Sincerely, Dale Gwaltney (Lucky)

No need to apologize, Lucky. I may have been out of line in my responses to others' poems. I don't know. I'm new to this kind of thing. I'm very interested in poetry and in learning more about it, and I think this is a good way to hear what others think, good or bad. Thanks, Lizzie. I have some more love poems somewhere, but it's been awhile since I've been in love, so I'll have to dig them out.

Have a great day.

Mark
