The time came for me to choose
Whether love would win or lose
I stood at the fork in the road
Considering the weight of the load
Evaluating the condition of each path
If I choose wrong can I withstand the wrath
That will befall my fateful decision
Bringing me yet more indecision

The path to the left looked groomed and clean
Thick lush grass grows so very green
Flowers and butterflies abound
Birds provide the harmony of sound
I am tempted by the beautiful sight
And the warmth of the sunlight
Not a cloud in the sky
If I don't go this way then why?

The path to the right was overgrown and rough
This way looks to be very tough
Can barely tell which way it goes
Where I'll end up nobody knows
Branches and brush cover the trail
Reminds me of searching for the Holy Grail
Though not easy I choose the road less traveled
Hope my dreams do not become unraveled

Thank you to Jeffrey for yet another title and challenge!!!  Hope you like it, m'friend!!

LoneWolf this is sensational - hits my
pioneer heart -- give me that brush
and that wild less chosen path - I will
be right behind you.

I really liked this poem. I also like to take the road less traveled by... great job.

Enjoyed reading...wonderful job.  The road doesn't always seem so clear to me.
The Road Less Traveled is also an interesting book by M. Scott Peck, M.D.

LoneWolf~
Very expertly done.

Reminds me of an idiom my
great grandfather used.

'When you reach a fork in the road ...
take one.  You'll end up somewhere.'

Enjoyed the read.

Wonderful Lone Wolf!  I too, like to choose the rough and overgrown path, as such mysteries await us toward the unknown! I enjoyed this!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Just want to tell you that I love your version of Robert Frost's poem. That is one of my favorites. Beautiful

Lone Wolf~
I love this one!  Very powerful imagery, and it really makes me think.  I believe that sometimes I need to take the road less travelled.  I believe if I can withstand the journey along it, I will appreciate having taken it so much more!

Robert Frost will be green in envy,

The path to the right was overgrown and rough
This way looks to be very tough
Can barely tell which way it goes
Where I'll end up nobody knows
Branches and brush cover the trail
Reminds me of searching for the Holy Grail
Though not easy I choose the road less traveled

Well done, I really enjoyed your version of the subject. A wonderful poem.

~Aahhh LW,...this is great.  The road less traveled is a bit more exciting and intersting 'eh?  Good choice,...it's what I hope I'd choose as well given this situation.  Wonderful poem, thank you for sharing it with us. *Peace.
