In the space between moments

*Dedicated to Abrahm Simons and Cassie Roseen-- My best friends and saviors from the darkness*

Ruby petals drift and fall
From forgotten rose's face
Silken dreams once present here
Are absent from this place.

Creeping moss of olive green
Lays soft beneath my feet
Upon the wing of rising breeze
Sorrow's kiss I greet.

In quiet regret I gently fade
Into luna's whispy white
But here within the lonely sky
A single star glows bright.

In shimmering eyes I see myself
Framed in liquid gold
Fire comes within your touch
And frees me from the cold.

Within forever's crystal shine
My soul now gently sighs
For your love has rescued me
And taught me how to fly.

Krista~
When the eyes shimmer with friendships glow ...
it shows within the heart as love ...
and on the face as a smile.
I can see your smile !
Just beautiful, dear.
