Between a laugh and a tear...

0 posted 2000-05-23 07:29 PM

A gift was given from a heart so true
From one so warm could only be you
Just a small gift to help light my way
A shining star, what more to say

The gift revealed your heart and soul
Lights my life and makes me whole
Night after night, shines it's light
Heart fills with dreams of what just might

The gift itself brought forth hidden treasure
Had so much meaning, brought much pleasure
That star now rests close by my heart
For in this life that star and I will not part

These words they are my gift to you
Friendship I've found in one so true
You fill my life with warmth and love
Surely you are an angel from above.

Such adoring love is felt thru this expression of verse.
I can only sigh when I read it

This is so touching and so beautiful (**tears**) although that does not even begin to describe the feelings that this gives me.  Amazing my friend...truly amazing. This is a  beautiful gift from your heart, one that nothing can compare to. A gift of friendship is worth more than a million stars ..and lasts far longer. Thank you so much for sharing this gift.< !signature-->

Eagle
this is perfect,
wonderful writing and sentiments here.
you shine in this poem as well.
your source of inspiration must indeed
be an angel to inspire this in you
excellent work.
take care, jm

They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

epoet....yes this one is striaght from the heart, as to who it's for I think I'll let you wonder some more.

CocoBaci...I sigh with you!

BDC....A gift given with love is always beautiful. this work only just begins to describe the amazing feelings and emotions stired by a gift from the heart.

Janet....you have me blushing now. As for the insperation, well an angel to be sure, and an insperation each and every day.

To one and all I thankyou for taking the time to read and comment.

What a lovely 'gifting' you have shared.
Delightfully done, a true pleasure to read.
