Telling

So fleeting, time,
before the mind goes
or cancer takes hold,
the kids grow up,
we grow old,
more funerals
than weddings,
and loneliness
becomes a pastime.

So it’s interesting,
how much is wasted
on ignorant notions,
acquisitiveness,
and selfishness.

What of passion?
If you find it,
hold on,
drink,
drown in it.
For once it’s gone,
the dry spell
can kill you.

Corinne~
WOW !  What wisdomed thoughts
from such a youthful heart !

'What of passion?
Truly golden,
if you find it,
hold on to it,
drink it,
drown in it.
For once it’s gone,
the dry spell
can kill you.'

Like I said ... WOW !

Wonderful, Corinne! Love this. Yep,

Most take for granted a love that is true.
You have said quite a bit in this beautiful poem.
Thank you

Well cheers then, and may thy cup overflowith.
I drink of thee, and these wise words, what better to get drunk on but passion.
